Zagreb Airport eyes up to 200.000 Slovenian passengers

Zagreb Airport has said that approximately 5% of its total passengers are from Slovenia. It comes as Croatia’s busiest airport announces a new bus service from August 1 departing downtown Ljubljana via Novo Mesto to Zagreb’s main bus station from which Slovenian travellers will have complimentary transfer to the airport. Zagreb Airport estimates it handled around 150.000 Slovenian passengers last year and expects the figure to reach 200.000 this year. “We do not keep data on the nationality of passengers. This estimate is based on statistics of parked cars at the airport and the origin of sold air tickets”, Zagreb Airport said. Approximately some 550 Slovenian passengers are currently passing through Zagreb Airport on a daily basis.
