MIAT Mongolian Airlines President elected member of IATA Board of Governors

AKIPRESS.COM – The 80th Annual General Meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) was held in Dubai on June 2-4.

IATA member countries, partners, international and regional associations, aviation industry entrepreneurs and international media organizations took part in the event. The meeting approved last year’s aviation industry safety summary report and other related reports.

The leadership of the state company MIAT from Mongolia took part in the annual general meeting.

MIAT President Munkhtamir Batbayar was elected as a member of the IATA Board of Governors at the meeting on June 3.

The association’s board includes executives from the world’s largest airlines, such as Lufthansa, American Airlines, ANA, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, Qatar Airways, Air Canada, Japan Airlines, Air France KLM and Korean Airlines.

MIAT President Munkhtamir Batbayar became the first member of the IATA Board of Governors from Mongolia.
