Maribor Airport damaged in hailstorm

Maribor Edvard Rusjan Airport has been closed since last Friday after its terminal building was damaged in a hailstorm. The severe weather damaged the terminal’s roof structure. The Slovenian Minister for Infrastructure, Andrej Rajh, toured the site yesterday and said the Ministry would provide funds to cover repair costs. Limited operations are expected to resume today. Although it does not have scheduled flights, Maribor Airport handles pilot training operations and charters.
