Lanmei Airlines, Cambodia Hotel Association sign MoU on Lanton Cloud

PHNOM PENH, June 3 (Xinhua) — Lanmei Airlines (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. and the Cambodia Hotel Association (CHA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Lanton Cloud, said a joint press statement on Saturday.

The MoU was inked in Phnom Penh on Friday between Li Kun, Lanmei Airlines’ chairman and chief executive officer, and CHA’s president Din Somethearith. The event was attended by more than 30 people from the CHA, Lanmei Aviation Group and Lanton Cloud Service Technology Co., Ltd.

Li said Lanmei Airlines is a Cambodia-China joint venture airline, and since its launch in 2017, the airline has ranked first among local airlines in Cambodia in terms of passenger traffic, cargo and mail turnover, and aircraft utilization.

He said the Lanton Cloud platform was officially launched in 2022 and obtained the first e-commerce license in Cambodia, noting the Cambodia-based Lanton Cloud app has ramped up expansion in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and China.

“After the signing of the MoU, the hotel booking section will be launched on June 29 to provide hotel reservation services for all users, and will be connected with the source factory through the Lanton Cloud supply chain,” Li said.

“The source factory is directly connected to provide high-quality hotel supplies to all hotels.”

To respond to the national strategy, he said, Lanton Cloud strives to build a world-class brand that excels in management and service, and makes continuous efforts to provide users with high-quality services.

He said Lanton Cloud has also signed an MoU with Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce to jointly promote the “one village, one product” movement, sending Cambodian products to ASEAN, China, and all over the world.

Somethearith said the CHA will invite hoteliers in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, Kep, Battambang and other provinces to settle in the Lanton Cloud platform.

“The Chinese market is a huge market, and this cooperation will promote the recovery of the Cambodian market and promote the vigorous development of the Cambodian hotel industry,” he said.

Under the MoU, both sides will base on the “Lanton Cloud” e-commerce platform to propel mutual cooperation in Cambodia’s hotel, tourism, and supply chain fields, the statement said.

The two parties will continue to carry out coordination and cooperation in e-commerce, electronic payment, digital services, and global supply chain services, it added.
