Croatia Airlines has today retired one of its five Airbus A319 aircraft. The jet, registered 9A-CTI, has been out of service since the start of the 2023/24 winter season in late October and will today be returned to its owner, World Star Aviation, in the United Kingdom. Croatia Airlines sold and leased back its entire Airbus fleet this summer to monetise on the aircraft prior to their disposal and the arrival of the first Airbus A220 jets next year. 9A-CTI is bound for St. Athan Airport in South Wales today where aircraft are usually scrapped. The jet joined the airline brand new in the summer of 1999.
