Caribbean: Caribbean Airlines Limited announced that its regular operations are fully restored. The airline’s on-time performance (OTP) as of 5 p.m. on August 24 was 95% across the network (international and domestic).
As per the update, the global industry standard is 85%. OTP was 100% for domestic operations between Trinidad and Tobago and 90% for international operations.
Following Sunday’s cancellations, six (6) charters operated by an external company contracted by Caribbean Airlines were used to accommodate displaced international passengers.
Customers travelling in the coming days and weeks are being sent notifications with reminders about their flight details. To receive these automatic updates and notifications, customers are asked to register directly with Caribbean Airlines website.
Travellers are reminded that the recommended check-in time for international flights is three (3) hours before the scheduled departure time. For domestic travel between Trinidad and Tobago, check-in is two (2) hours before departure.

The airline mounted a recovery operation to accommodate displaced international passengers who were affected by flight cancellations. As of August 24, Caribbean Airlines contracted an external company to operate five (5) charters to transport passengers to their final destinations.
The recovery operation is ongoing, in tandem with the airline’s regular schedule. In cases where customers booked directly through online and other travel agents, the airline will not have those contact details on file.

As at Wednesday, August 23 2023, the airline paid an external company to provide four charters to operate special flights to accommodate over 1,400 displaced passengers on international services.
The domestic airbridge between Trinidad and Tobago, and regional and international flights are all operating according to the normal schedule from today, Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
The regular operation is working in parallel with the recovery flights. Caribbean Airlines is actively contacting travelers by phone, via e-mail and SMS notifications with updated information.
