Belgrade Airport to get city rail link for EXPO 2027

Belgrade has been selected as the host city for the specialised EXPO 2027, which will take place from May 15 until August 15 in 2027. As part of the development of the exhibition area a new rail line is planned, which will link the airport both with the EXPO site and the New Belgrade station, from which passengers can connect onto the existing main line, which stops at both Belgrade’s main railway station, as well as the Karadjordjev Park and Vukov Spomenik stations in downtown Belgrade. The new railway line will be built from New Belgrade station and pass the Zemun station, from which it will continue onwards to four new railway stations – Autoput, Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, Surčin and National Stadium station, where the EXPO site will be located.
