Banja Luka Airport is working on establishing scheduled flights to four different markets. According to its General Manager, Nataša Trivić, “We are trying to secure scheduled flights to Istanbul, Athens, one to a destination in either Italy or Spain and a service to Cyprus. These are the markets we are focusing on in terms of new routes and airlines”. Banja Luka Airport has already held talks with Turkish Airlines over the potential introduction of flights from Istanbul, with negotiations to continue next month. This summer, Greece’s Aegean Airlines is operating a regular charter service from Athens to Banja Luka on behalf of local tour operators.
