Avelo Airlines announced on Thursday it will be adding nonstop service between Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) and South Carolina’s Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP).Avelo will be the first and only airline offering nonstop flights between Manchester and the upstate of South Carolina.The route will run twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays beginning May 10, 2024. The flights will be on Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. Fares between MHT and GSP start at $62. With this addition, Avelo will now serve two nonstop destinations from MHT. Avelo also announced it will be doubling its frequency of flights to North Carolina beginning May 2, 2024. The route currently runs twice weekly on Thursdays and Fridays to Raleigh-Durham airports. Now, it will have four flights a week to The Research Triangle.Ted Kitchens, the director of MHT Airport, said, “We are grateful for Avelo’s continued commitment to New Hampshire with the addition of a new nonstop route to Greenville, South Carolina, and increased service to Raleigh, North Carolina.”Kitchens said this is a result of support from both the Raleigh and Manchester communities. He added that it is critical this support continues for this new route. He said, “If we do, it will assist in strengthening our partnership with Avelo Airlines and inspire even more travel for the residents of Manchester and New Hampshire.”
