Trinidad and Tobago: Jet Blue and American Airlines announced an increase in airlift from the United States to Trinidad. The flights will be operating twice daily to boost airlift over the next few months. 

Tourism Trinidad expressed delight in the expansion of the service from the two most prominent airlines to Trinidad. While referring to it as a significant boost to Tourism Industry, it said that the service will provide access to the North American Market. 

Tourism Trinidad is pleased to announce an increase in airlift from the United States with additional daily flights from American Airlines and JetBlue to Piarco International Airport. Both airlines will now be flying into Trinidad twice daily, providing an additional 2,738 seats per week to the North American market.

JetBlue will be commencing a “Red Eye” flight from New York on Friday, June 16th, until the first week in September 2023. On the other hand, American Airlines will be commencing an additional flight from Miami on August 15th until September 5th, 2023.

JetBlue is known as the seventh largest airline in North America as per its capacity of carrying passengers. It is also recommended as a low-cost airline with a headquarter in New York City. The airline operates more than 1,000 flights daily. 

On the other hand, American Airlines is one of the largest carriers in the world when measured by scheduled passengers carried. While having a one daily flight from Miami, American Airlines has a total seat capacity of 172 people per flight. As per the reports, the airline brought a great influx of tourists into Trinidad between January and April. 4,211 people have visited the island through the airlines. 

The increased service of the flights from both airlines will mark significant steps for the tourism industry of Trinidad. It will strengthen the connectivity between the Caribbean and America, allowing travellers to experience the island’s diverse culture and community. The increased flights were also announced to cater to the demand of the passengers for Trinidad as an ideal destination for vacation.
