Air Montenegro touches down in Baku

Air Montenegro inaugurated seasonal flights between Tivat and Baku last Friday, becoming the only flag carrier from the former Yugoslavia to serve the Caucasus nation on a scheduled basis. Flights will be maintained twice per week until September 30, on Mondays and Fridays, with the Embraer E195 aircraft. Air Montenegro will compete directly against Azerbaijan Airlines, which has increased its operations to Tivat this summer. “We believe that the introduction of this service will have a positive impact on both tourism and economic cooperation between our two countries. It is expected that the nonstop service between Tivat and Baku will significantly increase the number of tourists from Azerbaijan and stimulate additional investments from that market in Montenegro. This route will strengthen the ties between the two countries and provide an additional boost to the tourism sector in Montenegro, attracting visitors from Azerbaijan who want to explore the rich cultural and natural heritage of Montenegro”, Maja Bijelić, Air Montenegro’s Public Relations and Communications Manager, said.
